Summary
| Roster | 10 creators, two added a week | Live by week: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. Six weeks to a full Red Clay roster, with weak fits swapped out early. |
|---|---|---|
| Who | Home cooks, pitmasters, bartenders, oyster cooks | People already filming eggs, wings, rice and margaritas who can use Southern Chili Crisp or Hot Honey on day one. |
| Production | 7 videos per creator per week | 303 creator videos a month at 10 creators (10 × 7 × 52 ÷ 12), each testing one hook on one Red Clay product. |
| Pay | Starter $300, Standard $500, Premium $800 base | Caps at $600, $1,000 and $1,500. Product from the Red Clay lineup shipped to each creator to cook with. |
| Bonus | $50 flat past 100,000 views | One per creator per month, organic views only. Bonus room at the cap: $300 Starter, $500 Standard, $700 Premium. |
| Compliance | Paid label on every post, claims sheet only | Creators quote the brand's own lines, like "Balanced heat, built for everything." No health outcomes, no comparisons. |
| Rule for the category | Real cooking, safe cooking, labels visible | Wings temped to 165F like the brand's recipe, no babies tasting honey or heat, prices only as the site shows them. |
| Goal | $1.00 per 1,000 views | Today's inputs land at $5.74 per 1,000 views on $10,050 a month. Closing that gap on Red Clay videos is the job. |
| Report | Every Monday, one page | Views and cost per 1,000 views by creator and product, top hooks, killed formats, claim flags, videos moving to paid. |
| Decision | Day 90: scale, fix or stop | If cost per 1,000 views isn't moving toward $1.00, we cut to the formats that work or stop. Ceiling stays $15,000. |

Track record
Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.
At Tabs I built the creator program to 100M monthly social impressions and the paid ad engine alongside it. Red Clay is the same playbook in a new category: food and condiments, sold on flavor and cooked on camera. I have never run hot sauce, hot honey or chili crisp, so the first weeks are for learning what a good Red Clay video is, not for promising results.

Why now
19
Reviews on The Whole Shebang
The gift box shows a visible review count. That is the product buyers already talk about, and the easiest one for a creator to open on camera.
Published0
Reviews on Red Clay Classics
The starter trio of Original Hot Sauce, Hot Honey and Southern Chili Crisp shows none yet. Creator videos can carry that trio until reviews arrive.
Published20%
First-order codes on creator storefronts
The site already runs storefront pages that say "Shop my favorite products below" with first-order codes. The creator habit exists; the engine adds volume and testing.
Published$75+
Free shipping threshold
"Free Shipping on Orders $75+" sits on the site. Gift sets and bundles are the natural path past it, so creator videos lean on boxes and duos.

Part 4 of 15
Principles
One variable per test, losers killed early
Each of the 7 videos a creator posts per week changes one thing: the hook, the dish or the product. Southern Chili Crisp on eggs versus on rice is a test. Formats that trail after a week are cut.
The claims sheet is the script
Creators only quote lines Red Clay already wrote, like "Sweet Carolina heat." Anything about health, honey origin or rankings goes to the brand lead first. A video that breaks the sheet earns no $50 bonus.
Pay for output, cap the downside
Base pay of $300, $500 or $800 by band, capped at $600, $1,000 or $1,500. With 10 creators the program never passes $15,000 a month before view bonuses, whatever the hot sauce videos do.
All work runs through one channel
Briefs, claim questions, drafts, posted links and the Monday report live in five channels. The Red Clay lead answers claim questions the same day, so no chili crisp or honey video waits on a reply.

One channel for everything
#briefs
Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers
HannahMon 8:30 AM
Brief for the week: Southern Chili Crisp on eggs and rice, Hot Honey on fried chicken. One variable per test: the first three seconds. Claims sheet is pinned in #claims-check.
TessMon 11:10 AM
Can I call the hot honey Carolina honey? The Classics page says Carolina, the Hot Honey page says USA wildflower.
Not yet. Use "Sweet Carolina heat." until the kitchen confirms where the honey comes from.
HannahTue 2:40 PM
Marcus, your wing draft calls the Original healthier than store sauce. Cut that line and open on the pour over the wings instead. Everything else stays. Resend in #drafts.
ReportBotAppWed 9:00 AM
Midweek pull: Hot Honey drizzle hooks lead on views, Carolina on oysters leads on saves. Margarita rim hooks trail; two of them go on the kill list in #drafts.
ReportBotAppThu 4:15 PM
Tess's Southern Chili Crisp on rice video passed 100,000 organic views. Flagged for the $50 flat bonus and added to the paid shortlist for Monday.
HannahFri 10:00 AM
Weekend check: every post this week carries the paid partnership label, product names are readable on the bottle, and prices match the site. Fix anything missing before Monday's report.
The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.
Part 5 of 15
Formats

Brief 01
Wing night with Original
“Half a cup of Red Clay Original on four pounds of wings. Watch.”
Overhead on the toss bowl, sauce pour in the first second, bottle label in frame, then a bite and the thermometer check on a wing.

Brief 02
Chili crisp on eggs and rice
“Eggs, noodles, rice. Watch how far one spoon of chili crisp goes.”
Close on the spoon scraping the jar, crunch audible, then three quick plates: fried egg, noodles, Carolina Gold Rice. Jar on the counter.

Brief 03
Hot Honey drizzle
“Sweet heat on fried chicken, and the drizzle is the whole video.”
Slow drizzle from the jar onto fried chicken or biscuits, side light so the honey shines, jar label turned to camera for the last beat.

Brief 04
Spicy margarita rim
“The salt on this rim does the work. Peach honey does the rest.”
Lime around the glass, dip in Spicy Margarita Salt, stir Spicy Peach Honey into the shaker, pour. Both jars in frame at the end.

Brief 05
Carolina on oysters
“Carolina Hot Sauce on raw oysters. First bite, no talking.”
Shuck on camera, a few drops of Carolina Hot Sauce on each oyster, bottle held next to the tray, one silent bite, then the reaction.
Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Balanced heat, built for everything.”, “Sweet Carolina heat.”, “built to enhance a dish, not mask it”. Product names are said as printed.
Part 6 of 15
Recruiting
Four sources in
Red Clay's own Ambassadors page
The site navigation links an Ambassadors page and runs creator storefronts with first-order codes. I did not read its terms. First step: ask who is in it before recruiting around them.
Buyers of The Whole Shebang
Reviewers and repeat buyers of gift boxes like The Whole Shebang, invited by email. They already own Original, Carolina and Hot Honey and can shoot this week.
Southern food creators
Search TikTok and Instagram for wings, grits, oysters, biscuits and Carolina rice. Creators already cooking those dishes add Red Clay without changing what they post.
Home bar accounts
For Spicy Margarita Salt and Spicy Peach Honey: home bartenders who post rims and cocktails. The Bar Cart Bundle and Spicy Margarita Drink Set give them a full kit.
Five filters, fewer each step
1Cooks on camera
Hands, pans and food in the first second. No talking heads rating Red Clay sauces they never cooked with.
2Fits a dish we sell for
Their feed already has eggs, noodles, wings, oysters, grits or cocktails the Red Clay lineup was built for.
3Clean disclosure history
Past sponsored food posts carry a clear paid label. Hidden ads disqualify a creator before any box ships.
4No health framing
No diet, cleanse or wellness angle in past food posts. Hot Honey is a drizzle on camera, not a remedy.
5Ships a paid test on time
One product from the lineup, a few drafts, delivered on the agreed day before any pay band is set.
Part 7 of 15
Who
Weeknight egg-and-rice cook
Fast breakfasts and rice bowls, filmed in a home kitchen. Crunch and spoon shots carry the video without much talking.
Likely product: Southern Chili Crisp
Backyard pitmaster
Smokers, grills and long cooks. Finishes ribs, brisket and wings with something crunchy and savory right before slicing.
Likely product: Pitmaster's Chili Crisp
Fried chicken and biscuit cook
Southern comfort food where a slow drizzle is the money shot. Already posts Sunday dinners and family recipes.
Likely product: Hot Honey
Home bartender
Rims, shakers and bar carts. Posts cocktails on weekends and wants a spicy margarita that looks good in the glass.
Likely product: Spicy Margarita Drink Set
Oyster and seafood cook
Coastal cooks who shuck, steam and boil on camera. Hot sauce on oysters is already part of the routine.
Likely product: Carolina Hot Sauce
Food gift-guide maker
Builds gift roundups for cooks and hosts. Opens boxes on camera and shows what each jar and bottle does.
Likely product: The Whole Shebang
Left off, every time
Always out: anyone who promises health results from heat or honey, anyone who won't label paid posts, accounts made for kids, and anyone who shows babies or toddlers tasting honey or hot sauce. Also out: creators who borrow the chef and press quotes on the Red Clay site as their own endorsement.

Never said
Each one with the reason it stays out.
Healthier than other hot sauces
Health outcome plus a comparison. The site makes neither claim.
Hot Honey is good for a sore throat
Health outcome. The site sells it as a sweet-heat drizzle, nothing more.
Better than Tabasco
Comparison with another brand. A press quote on the site is not a creator claim.
Endorsed by a James Beard chef
Turns a quote on the site into an endorsement of the creator's video.
Organic and all-natural
Neither word appears on the Red Clay site.
Red Clay Classics is the top-reviewed set
The site shows zero reviews for Red Clay Classics.
Local Carolina honey in every jar
Product pages describe USA wildflower honey; origin is not confirmed.
To confirm with the brand
Held until someone on the brand side signs off.
Carolina Wildflower Honey with a touch of habanero
The Classics page says Carolina; the Hot Honey page says USA wildflower. The kitchen confirms before anyone names the origin.
Free Shipping on Orders $75+
Some creator storefronts on the site show free shipping at a different spend. One threshold per caption, confirmed first.

Pay
Starter
$300–600
a month, by band
New food creators on a trial: one Red Clay product, simple hooks, the first weeks of tests.
Bonus at the cap: $300
Standard
$500–1,000
a month, by band
Proven cooks who deliver the hook library on time and own one dish, like chili crisp on eggs.
Bonus at the cap: $500
Premium
$800–1,500
a month, by band
Top performers whose videos move to paid; they shoot full recipes, like wings with Original.
Bonus at the cap: $700
Under 100,000 views
$0
The base pay covers the work.
+$50 flat
Whatever the band.
Top-up to your cap
Bonus = band cap − base pay.
- One $50 bonus per creator per month, even if several videos pass 100,000 views.
- The bonus is paid per video: one Red Clay video has to pass 100,000 views on its own.
- Organic views only. Views from paid ads running the video never count toward the bonus.
- No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or a food rule, even after it is fixed.
Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.
The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Simulator
At today's inputs, 303 videos make 1.8M views for $10,050, or $5.74 per 1,000 views against $1.00. To close it, 4.2% of videos must go viral or the median video must reach 21,711 views.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.
To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.
Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.
Part 11 of 15, continued
What moves the result
| If the median is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 750 | 1.4M | $10,050 | $6.96 | No |
| 1,500 | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 3,000 | 2.4M | $10,050 | $4.24 | No |
| If the viral share is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.3% | 1.2M | $10,000 | $8.44 | No |
| 0.5% | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 1% | 2.9M | $10,150 | $3.52 | No |
The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.
Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Warm-up
Sheet, labels, product shipped
Before anyone posts: claims sheet signed, disclosure check done, product shipped. Creators get Southern Chili Crisp, Hot Honey and Original Hot Sauce to cook with first.
Month 1
Ramp two creators a week
Live by week: 0, 2, 4, 6, then on toward 10. Each posts 7 videos a week on Starter terms. Hooks tested on eggs, wings, oysters and margaritas; losers cut early.
Month 2
Full roster, first cuts
All 10 creators live, about 303 Red Clay videos a month. Winners move to Standard, the weakest formats are cut, and top videos go on the paid shortlist.
Month 3
Premium for proven creators
Premium goes to creators whose videos move to paid. Push the median toward 21,711 views or the viral share toward 4.2%, whichever the data says is closer.
Day 90
Scale, fix or stop
Cost per 1,000 views against the $1.00 target, by format and by product. Scale the hot sauce and honey formats that work, fix the rest, or stop the program.
Every month
The ceiling holds
The program never passes $15,000 a month with all 10 creators at the top cap, before $50 view bonuses. No band moves up without results on Red Clay videos.
$15,000 Monthly ceiling, all 10 creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded Proposed
The roster grows by two creators a week, so hook performance can be read week over week instead of by anecdote.

From organic to paid
From organic to paid
Post organic first
Every Red Clay video goes up on the creator's account first. No paid push until organic data exists for that hook and product.
Flag the outliers
Videos past 100,000 organic views, plus the most-saved ones, go on a shortlist in the Monday report.
Run from the creator handle
Shortlisted videos run as paid ads from the creator's handle, with their permission and the paid label kept on.
One variable per ad test
Same video, new first three seconds or new product page. Losers killed early; winners join the hook library for the next briefs.
From the video to the checkout
- Gift box and unboxing videos link to The Whole Shebang or Red Clay Classics.
- Single-product videos link to that product page, with the price as the site shows it, like $10 for Original Hot Sauce.
- Captions mention free shipping only as the site words it: Free Shipping on Orders $75+.
- No store-shelf call to action until the Retailers page store list is confirmed; checkout only.
- Chef and restaurant videos point to Restaurant Orders, not the consumer cart.
Part 15 of 15
Food rules
Food rules for Red Clay creators
Red Clay sells sauces, honey and salts people eat on camera. These six rules sit next to the claims sheet in every brief, and a video that breaks one earns no $50 bonus.
Show the product and the real price
Bottle or jar label readable on camera at least once. Prices only as the site shows them, like $10 for Original Hot Sauce or $20 for Southern Chili Crisp. Discounts only when the brand issues a code.
Flavor, never health
Heat and honey are flavor. Creators use only the brand's own words, like 100% raw, sustainably sourced honey infused with spicy habanero. Nothing about wellness, weight, digestion or feeling better.
No babies or toddlers tasting honey or heat
Hot Honey, Spicy Peach Honey and the hot sauces are never fed to babies or toddlers on camera. Kids in frame stay away from the jars and the plate being tasted.
Cook it safely on camera
When frying wings, show the doneness check: the brand's own recipe temps wings to 165F. Raw chicken never touches a finished plate, and hot oil shots stay steady and safe.
No ingredient or allergen guesses
Creators don't state allergen status, gluten content or a full ingredient list unless it is on the label. If a viewer asks, point them to the bottle or to the Red Clay site.
Disclose every paid post
Paid partnership label on every post, plus a gifted line when product was sent free. Same rule for videos later run as ads from the creator's handle. Hidden ads end the partnership.
The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
